Inches, Feet and Yards Conversion Worksheets
Convert each length. Conversions go both ways, and the answer key shows each one. Click New worksheet for a fresh sheet, then print it with its answer key.
About this worksheet
Measurement practice: converting metric lengths, mass and capacity, US customary units, units of time, and working out elapsed time. Problems ask for conversions in both directions, from larger units to smaller and back again. Every sheet is new and has an answer key.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Going to a smaller unit means more of them, so multiply; going to a bigger unit means divide.
- Make a reference card of the key facts: 100 cm = 1 m, 12 in = 1 ft, 16 oz = 1 lb.
- Measure real things at home: a table in centimetres, a bottle in millilitres.
- For elapsed time, count up to the next hour first, then add the rest.
