Find the Letter Y Worksheet
Circle every uppercase Y and lowercase y hidden among look-alike letters. Click New worksheet for a fresh sheet, then print it with its answer key.
About this worksheet
Letter recognition practice: find and circle every copy of one letter hidden among other letters. The other letters are chosen to include look-alikes (b, d, p and q, or m, n and w), which trains children to look carefully at letter shapes. Choose any letter, and uppercase, lowercase or both. The answer key circles every one and gives the count.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Say the letter's name and sound each time one is found.
- Use a bingo dauber, a highlighter or a sticker instead of a pencil for fun.
- Scan one row at a time from left to right: it is early reading practice too.
- Count the circles at the end and write the total.
